@thebionicman A little over 20 years.?ÿ I do not set off metal detectors in the airport but it sure deflects a compass needle.
The strange thing is that my wife broke her left wrist and had the same surgery, by the same surgeon about 4 years later.?ÿ I have 8 screws and she has 6.?ÿ We have matching scars.

@nate-the-surveyor As part of saving the black-footed ferret from extinction we needed prairie dogs by the hundreds for testing. Mink were substituted for the ferrets as the known population was 29 at the time. Live traps only captured about one a week so flooding them out was tried with a 550 gal water tank on a truck. Turns out a prairie dog hole can hold about 250 - 300 gallons. Someone came up with the idea of adding Wisk detergent to the water stream filling the hole and let the suds fill it up. It worked great, the dogs would pop up one at a time, clean of fleas and ready to capture. Contrary to common knowledge about prairie dog holes having two entrances we only once ever found that to be the case. One last bit of pertinent information if you try this is that although prairie dogs stopped as soon as their heads cleared the suds, rattlesnakes came out on turbo!?ÿ
My eyeglasses pull the needle off. What's worse is I can't read the numbers without my glasses.

If you explain your problem to an optometrist, I'm sure that non metallic glasses and frames can be had. You might look funny though, as they might be 50's style!

Can you use drugstore reading glasses for this??ÿ They might be had with plastic frames.
@back-chain There were many who attempted to attend without tickets that night. Mounted and K-9 officers went a little wild. Helicopter(s) flew over the amphitheater and the crowd got tear gassed several times. Ruined my favorite jacket at the time. In response to the over reaction Denver did ban certain acts for some time.?ÿ
All part of growing up for some, getting tear gassed.?ÿ
