I'm a little confused on what you need help with.
Do you need help importing/typing in points?
Are you trying to stake to a dxf?
Are having a problem selecting a point to stake?
Are you working roboticaly?
Stakeout is under Go to work/stake out.
You need to make sure you select the correct control job.
Then select the point you wish to stake.
You must hit f2 dist to see your in and out.
You can turn on continuous measure by pressing the star button and selecting continuous measure. This will update your in and out as you move.
You should have a look in the configurations of stakeout this is under FN/config. Your questions could be answered in there
Also if you press FN/help it will bring you to the manual.
Please let us know exactly what you are having trouble with.
Everything would depend upon what software is installed on the instrument or if you are trying to do it from a controller.
Looks like you have some midnight oil to burn with the instrument, manuals for instrument and software and accessories to realign your grey cells with its inter workings.
good luck 😉
Dear Sir .
You are a gentleman , I am using the robotic ,I tried to stake out one point ( I know the coordinates and I know where it is , just confused about the practice )I select the go to work then stake out entered the point coordinate and hit F2 measure,it gave me two arrows left and top ( could be east and south,,, etc ) what confused me is the small circle with the N on it directing the North I was confusing as things does not go well unless I put that North on the same north direction I used for my grid lines then I can follow the two arrows then when I followed the arrows I noticed only one arrow values getting less or increased but the other arrow value never changed unless I hit F2 measure again then I can find the reading changed !, eventually I hit the circle with the point in its centre but still my prism movement show me only one straight line moving even when i tied to hit the point on the map it does not , but only after hitting F2 again( the arrows only one of their value changed , I expect both them will increased or decreased until I hit the point but always only one of their values changed and I have to hit F2 every time to see where I am ) I is there any easier way or i am using the stone age way , please advice .
I hope this reply is telling you exactly my struggling .
Many thanks to your patient
regards
Ayad
It is a configuration setting, I have not used the TS15, but in general in smartworx, at the first window of a program you can hit shift, hotkey config and it will open a tabbed interface with different settings, the setting you are looking for is orientation, you probably want it "to station" but the other options all have their place.
Always get to know the config settings of a application as there are many problems that can be avoided and many keys to use there.
You can set your Navigation direction by following these steps
In stakeout, press the FN button
Then Press F2 "Config"
Then Hit F6 Page till your on the "Graphics" Tab. The Navigate Direction is how the "arrow" will direct you. If you select "To Instrument" This will direct you with In/Out in the direction of looking to instrument.
You can set the TS15 to continuously update its position in the stakeout screen by turning on "continuous measure". This is done by pressing the Star/Favorites button.
Then Select "continuous Meas on"
I Chopped the Stakeout portion of the Manual if you are into that type of thing. B-)
Thanks Eric , I will try and update you ,much appreciated

Dear Eric 🙂 You are Diamond . I have done it today , hit the star bottom for the continuity , and configure then graphic ,I got several options to the instrument or from the instrument and to the north including angle direction and distance or the two arrows , delighted by the details and more confident , I wish if you pass me your email or contact me on : ak22c9@yahoo.co.uk
for farther assistance I may need in the future but mostly to thank you for your brilliant information and advice .
Kind Regards
