An excerpt: "In the Summer of 2011, Land Surveyors and their families and friends from various parts of North America will be taking part in the re-creation of some of David Thompson’s historic travels in the Pacific Northwest"
It starts in Invermere, BC, passes through parts of Montana, Idaho, and Washington, and ends in Astoria, Oregon!
I'm tempted to sign up (but don't ask me questions about trip -- i only know what i've just read on the linked web page).
