Years ago on this forum someone was getting excited about founding father costumes in the field on Halloween to celebrate the surveyor connection.
I thought that was some prime nerdiness and proposed it as a joke with a couple of younger hands.
Holy Smokes; I did not anticipate that one of them would exclaim that the idea was disgusting and that the founding fathers were murders and storm out of the room then another tagged in and said my suggestion was wildly sexist as she would refuse to cross dress and absolutely not wear a dress etc. etc. All while I am just Foghorn Leghorn about the whole thing.
I have worked the past twenty some odd years with coworkers my age or older, now is the first time I have worked with men and women a full generation younger and I do find it to be a challenge and have thought about coming to this community for some guidance on how to best mentor and lead them.
