on my SWPPP plan from last season in Nome (and carried into this season) About an hour on the phone with them, but passed with flying colors (whew!). The only improvement they could suggest was keeping better track of my re-seeding and re-grading efforts. Been sweatin' this'n for a bit!

JD,

Great that you passed your audit.

Did your SWPPP get picked at random for audit? Is Nome not big enough to be a MS4, so you had to send your NOI and SWPPP to the state?

No, we're not MS-4, so all permitting goes thru the state. Didn't get picked randomly, I suppose, DEC was in town for a couple of other inspections/audits, saw we still had an open permit, and stopped by (I was in Anchorage at the time, so my end was telephonic) They liked what the saw (mostly buried in the snow!) and gave a few "suggestions" on how to better log changes etc. Mostly I think they just wanted to be in Nome for the Iditarod!
