from the companys district meeting. Wow, is all I can say. What a presentation. 2days and 3 nights at the beautiful Hyatt Regency in downtown Dallas. Learned alot, laughed alot, and the evening parties were second to none. The food and atmosphere were top notch. Throw in 400 of the best of the best people and it made for a very memorable experience.
You younger guys, if you have an oppurtunity to hop on with a company like PKS, I would highly suggest you seize it. I passed on that once about 12 years ago for what amounted to about 50 cents an hour. The first thing I do now, every morning when I get to work, is kick my own arse for being so foolish.
Carefull R, that is not what the rest of the country wants to hear...there is some work down in your folks area due to a type of local shrub. There is no such stimulus in some states, and some are going belly up as we speak. Hear a certain cruise line is moving ops from Cali. to one of your neighborhoods. If you have 400 guys at a fancy party, while most of ours didn't even have a Christmas get together. Once CA, NY, MN, IL, NJ, well you get the idea... Glad you had fun though, the cover on my spare tire says "Life is Good"!!!

Yeah I am sure it has all to do with an ex-president and nothing to do with Texans hard work and can-do attitude that enabled us to stand as our own sovereign republic not so long ago, but I digress :-).
I hear you though and looking at our map I see that we have district and area offices in all of the states that you mentioned as well as many more that you did not. Maybe I stressed the perks too much which was not the intent of my post. Just passing on a bit of advice that I wished I had taken myself.
Don't pay heed to the nattering nabobs of negativism, Roadie. Good on ya!

It is kind of ironic Stephen that you reference a quote by a politician who pleaded Nola Contender to the charges of accepting kickbacks from construction companies.
It sounds like you are in a good place Roadie, enjoy the ride.
Ya, that is ironic. I don't know who said, just that it was some politician. Was just talking to some friends that football coaches would make the best politicians, and isn't it strange that more of them don't go into the political game.
Spiro Agnew said it.
> Spiro Agnew said it.
William Safire wrote it.
Hey Robert
The phrase is "nolo centendere
That is a fact ,jack
Thanks for the correction. I was familiar with the correct Latin spelling somewhat.
My mind just slipped because the New Orleans (NOLA) Saints of Louisiana are not contenders.
When I post here it is usually fast down and dirty and you can find multiple typos and errant spellings etc.
I don't like to multi-task these days. and please read my disclaimer.

I see Kiewit is hiring in Phoenix for a chief for those interested. I worked in their Alaska division years back and I must say they seem a very fair outfit.
