I'm purchasing a Geode sub-meter receiver for geophysical surveys, but while reading through the manual I noticed that the Geode Connect app allows for NTRIP corrections.?ÿ The manual states that when connected to an RTK network that decimeter accuracies are possible.?ÿ?ÿ

My question is, would you interpret this to mean that I can get 10cm accuracy in perfect conditions??ÿ I'm curious because for my line of work sub-meter is often not quite good enough and RTK (>2cm) is usually overkill.?ÿ I typically end up renting survey-grade gear to perform work that could be achieved with a Geode that has decimeter accuracy (with NTRIP).?ÿ I will definitely do some testing when I receive the product, however, I figured I'd open this up for discussion.?ÿ?ÿ

Also, open to other products that you may be aware of that fit the bill here.?ÿ Only requirement is that I can get 10cm accuracy and the receiver must have a 9pin serial port to connect to geophysical sensor directly.?ÿ

?ÿ

Looking at the manual again, I see that it states RTK-float is possible.?ÿ I take that to mean 20-40cm.?ÿ Is this perhaps what is meant by decimeter accuracy??ÿ Seems I am getting tripped up by the term decimeter here.?ÿ?ÿ

Hi @geojmitch, the Geode GNS2 is capable of using an RTK/CORS network via NTRIP as a correction source to achieve a "float" solution. As the GNS2 is a single frequency receiver, this would result in a roughly 20-60cm accuracy. The text in the manual you referenced was incorrect, stating "decimeter" which would be 10cm or less. The manual has since been corrected.
