Is anyone that uses TDS Survey Pro on a TDS 300x using an iPhone as the connection to the internet for corrections?
I have seen an Android phone connected to the same system I have, facilitating receipt of corrections via a bluetooth connection to TDS.
I cannot get it to work on an iPhone.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Jerry,
Unfortunately, it does not work--at least in my experience.
I have an older Recon I use with a blackberry via bluetooth. I upgraded to an iphone, but it would not work. I had to reactivate the blackberry.
The iphone will connect to the recon, but it doesn't recognize it as a modem.
The next time my salesman is in town, he's going to bring by a newer ranger. They have wifi, so we're going to test and see if it will connect to the iphone hotspot.
It will NOT work on an iphone. period. (Unless you jailbreak the phone) The bluetooth setup on the iphone will not connect to non-apple devices.
My iphone is jailbroken...I'm listening...
iPhone 4 can work as a WiFi hotspot for VRS...
Unfortanately not with Windows Mobile 5 devices...like the Ranger 300 or Trimble TSC2....
Thank you all for your input. I am weighing the jail break, as we speak. Voids the warranty!

Mr. Low...
Have you lost any functionality with the jailbreak?
Besides the warranty, that is.
