What is a decent 24" printer that doesn't break the bank? I'm currently running a Canon IPF610. This thing is an absolute money pit. Ink is close to $500 a reload. I have to replace the print head once a year on average for $640 and usually a maintenance cartridge that full of the $500 ink for $70.
I use an HP T-120. It works fine for me, but I am not running tons of prints, though sometimes I'll kill a couple rolls in a week.
I put cheap ink in it and I have had to run the print head maintenance routine, but that has always fixed it. (A few times I wasted several sheets before noticing the problem though).
My HP T-120 has needed 2 new print heads in 2 years. HP was not nice to deal with for the warranty for the first one. Since it took months for them to send me the replacement, I bought one elsewhere, so I had a spare the second time it failed. I guess I should thank HP.
I hate my motherforking HP T-120 with a white-hot loathing, second only to my loathing for their customer support. I will NEVER EVER buy another HP product again. Of any kind. EVER. Just typing this has my BP up to 150/100. Grrrr.

Don't hold back. Tell us how you really feel.
I have an HP T-520. I like it.
I just got the Epson surecolor t7270D. Love it!
Mine is a 44 inch but the 24 inch t3270 is somewhere around $2300
Cheaper ink and maintenance.

I have the HP T520 also. I paid around $1,400 for it a few months ago. It went through 2.5 150' rolls before it needed ink.
Another thumbs up for the HP t-520. We're big fans of it in our office and the price was right.
