here's the district court portion for consideration.

it's pretty obvious that the district court confused the BLM/USFS remon work of the 1960's with a resurvey, then blindly accepted the loose stone "Monument" as the true position.

The other disurbing thing is that there was testimony of a fence that had existed since 1912- very shortly after the original survey... and that was not used to control the easting of the line- single proportion was the first resort :-/
