Hollywood! bumbumbumbumbum?ÿ Hollywood!
A very nice sounding fellow calls to see if I would do some surveying for him in the next county to the south of me.?ÿ While we are chatting, I'm pulling up the online County Appraiser info for his lots in the middle of town.?ÿ That's when I discover his home address is on Mulholland Highway in Hollywood, CA.?ÿ I am positive I have never had a potential client with that city as their home.
While chatting, I discover I have done business in the building on that property in the past, so am quite familiar with the neighborhood.?ÿ That was years before his purchase, though.
It turned out his surname is the same as my great-grandparents who are buried in the cemetery a mile north of the big city.?ÿ That would have been really crazy if there was any chance we were distant cousins.?ÿ We are not, though.
His primary need for the survey is that he wants to add some pavement around the commercial building and doesn't want to put any on a neighbor's land.?ÿ A secondary question involves a small building (possibly portable) that a neighbor has installed on what might be his property.?ÿ That area is generally unused at the present time by my probable client.
Did a wee bit of internet search on this nice fellow.?ÿ HOLY MOLY!?ÿ He has worked with some of biggest politicians from all over the country for many years.?ÿ But, only those who are working on the inside with those politicians would probably recognize his name.?ÿ It is a common enough name until you add the III after it signifying the third generation with the same name.
