This is what I was doing two years ago. Due to changes in the UCLS website and management changes it never really got linked to the world.

So in a bit of self promotion or throwing myself to the wolves........

Preserving PLSS Corners

Here is the "corner record".

Wood Hollow Fire Corner Map

Just a diagram and coordinate listing. Not for entry into a drafting contest! If you were a surveyor looking for one of these corners hopefully you'd find it valuable. There is a good chance this is in the very heart of a new shale play (oil field). Three pads permitted, one being drilled at this time. Potential for maybe 40 more drill pads. If I can get the work this might come in handy. If this baby comes in I know some sheep ranchers that are going to be very wealthy!

I read the article last night. You did an awesome job. It would have been a great experience to have worked on that project with you.

You should be commended on your forward thinking, and protecting the public's interest. We need more surveyors like yourself.

Thanks for sharing.
