Long time lurker first time poster.
I was given a HP 650c and am in the process of trying to get it connected to my computer. It will print test plots from the plotter menu and by researching the archives at other sites, I have found drivers. The drivers appear to install fine and will send a test plot to the plotter The plotter will display the message "receiving" but nothing else will happen. I have even let it sit overnight "receiving" but no luck. I have Windows 7 and the drivers are Vista 64 bit. TIA for any help.

According to a google search, this is what you need to download from the HP site:

Thanks, but no luck. The closest I've come to getting the computer and plotter to communicate is with the vista 64 bit driver and a virtual usb/serial port. The computer sends a test plot, the plotter says receiving and they seem happy with that situation. Think I will get a

I have 64 bit drivers for that model of plotter - they were created for the 64 bit version of XP, but we have used them with Vista and Win 7.

If you post an email address I'll send them tomorrow.

Does your plotter have internal memory? If not you need to process plots in the commuter and not the plotter. This is part of the windows printer setup.

I Don't know if it has internal memory or not. How would I tell and if I need to change the Windows print settings where do I change those?
