I saw a survey truck the other day with a holder for the GPS rover on the front bumper.

I cannot find anything like it on the internet.

I can find holders/transporters that go on the rear hitch, hook on the rear fender, attach between the truck bed and cab, hook on the door...But NOTHING that goes on the front bumper.

The one I saw did not look home-made, so I am just asking if anyone out there can direct me to a website or company that sells these.

Probably built by someone that had the proper tools and the ability to use them. Ofter products made by those kinds of people are better than anything built by a factory that is interested in time, manufacturing ease and one size fits all. Prepare a rough sketch, take it to a local fabrication shop and let them take some measurements, should have it mounted in a few days. Have seen some very well made items come out of farm shop around here.

I knew a guy that used the hole in the rear truck bumper (for a trailer ball) for the tip of the rod. He put one of his 5/8 plastic caps in it to protect the tip & keep it from rattling around.

On rear edge of his Silver Shield that lined up plumb over the hole, he installed some kind of snap connector that was real easy to lock & unlock and seemed pretty secure.

It would hold the rod with the cap either up or closed. Couldn't go real fast, but beat dealing with quick connect rod setup, and a mag mount on the roof (which is my setup)

He had about $5 into the whole thing and it worked like a champ. But I like the idea of front bumper better, so you can watch it. Likely wouldn't lose bluetooth connection either.
