My rover is in the shop, and I want to run the base as a network rover.

I have attempted to set it as a rover in PC-CDU, but it doesnt seem to work.

Anyone do this regularly? Is there a program I can run on my FC2500 to do this in the field?

(I run Carlson SurvCE)

MODEN-TPS is what you are looking for. Should be able to download it from the TOPCON support site.

No changes to settings should be required for network operation. Should be able to just clear NVRAM then switch the bluetooth device in the rover profile.

Is the base range limited? Hiper Lite +'s came standard range limited and that might affect your connection. You can check this in PC-CDU by going to tools > options and find rtk distance. If anything other than 511 then it is range limited.

The method we use is as above, to do it with TPS Modem, a free applet. Works sort of like PCCDU. I saw an installed field utility recently on some handheld device but forgot where. Too bad the units don't just have a switch right on them for this one, since it's something I seem to need to do frequently.

I will have to check this. Our Rover has a pretty long range, but I have never checked the base.
