We bought a used QS Topcon robotic with FC 200 data collector running Topsurv 8. the tracking went out in the instrument a year after buying (all it would do is spin and search), now have it back and cant get the dumbass thing to properly work with the data collector. Tracking works fine (should after hefty repair bill), but now cant get the two devices to work. I can get the horizontal and vertical angle to display in the data collector, but the slope distance wont show up, which will now not let us even set a backsight to begin field work. Any suggestions? I know one thing, will never buy another Topcon device, major POS.
