Gentlemen,
I have sent a 25 minute Rapid Static GPS .dat file collected with Survey Pro in a Spectra Precision Ranger, using a Trimble antenna.
I get the quickest response, via email:
FILE: 1654283A.DAT OP1349987027544
1014 The RINEX data submitted to OPUS contains data taken from more than one
1014 location. This can be verified by opening up your RINEX file and
1014 searching for "MARKER". OPUS will only process data taken from one
1014 location. Try separating the data into individual files and then
1014 re-submit the data
1014 Aborting...

Can one of you smart guys help an old fart out? What am I doing wrong?
JA, PLS SoCal
I just experienced two aborts and then resent again and voila, a solution was sent back promptly.
I'd try a couple resends before breaking open the .dat file.
Shoot me the .dat file if you like, and I'll take a look.

This happens to me all the time. Follow the instructions in the OPUS reply - open the RINEX file with notepad and search for "MARKER". there SHOULD only be one MARKER tag in the header, but you will probably find a second one at the end of the file. If you remove it and re-submit, it should work. If it is in the middle of the file somewhere and not at the end, you will have to use TEQC to split the RINEX into two or remove the part you don't want. Of course if you submitted a .dat file, you will have to convert it to RINEX first to do any of this.
hey hillbilly
welcome to beerleg. where in MD are you?
hey hillbilly
Germantown. I am a longtime lurker, but only recently signed on so I could post an employment listing. By the way, does everybody know what the term "hillbilly leg" refers to, or is it just something the first Party Chief I worked for called it?

So, more specifically (after looking a the employement listing), you work above 5 Guys.
hey hillbilly
Yes. And also next to 2 OTHER guys I suspect you know already.

Never heard of a hillbilly leg. I assume it is not the same as a beer leg.
Might it be one super-short leg needed to position on the uphill side of a setup? (Or perhaps a super-long leg down hill?)

oh, and welcome to the board.
hey hillbilly
Where I work we use it to describe a traverse leg with a short backsight, a long foresight, and an acute angle, necessitated by a lack of planning or unforseen obstacle.
hey hillbilly
Hah! I wasn't even close, (except a long a short leg if you will), but I was talking about tripod legs. With the term "hillbilly" I was thinking of working in the hills.
Anyway, I never heard that term before. I tried.

Hillbilly leg spreader recipe
serve in
Collins Glass
Scale ingredients to servings
1 shot Crown Royal® Canadian whisky
1 shot Absolut® vodka
1 shot amaretto almond liqueur
1 shot creme de menthe
1 shot peach schnapps
splash of cranberry juice
splash of orange juice
pineapple juice
Fill glass with ice, add the shots one shot at a time. The glass should be almost full by just adding the liquors alone. Then top off with the fillers cranberry juice, orange juice and pineapple juice. Stir and serve with a straw.
Y'all have a great weekend! B-)
hey hillbilly
Well, you were on the right track with the hill part - steep verticals are often the cause of it.
hey hillbilly
i see now. hillbilly, maybe we will cross paths someday soon. our offices are not that far apart
Solution yet Jerry?
Just curious as to whether you got the problem solved, and if so, what was the nature of the problem?
Your resolution to the problem could be helpful to others in the future.
Solution yet Jerry?
Mr. Purvis,
Based upon your response, I re-submitted the files several times and was not rejected after a few more attempts.
However, I have yet to receive a response. My submission was accepted on Friday. I have had success in the past with OPUS and it only took minutes to get a response. Pushing three days now. I suspect the lack of rejection was not really a step in the right direction.
FYI, I am sending .dat files that are being converted to RINEX at the OPUS site. I do not have the ability to export RINEX from my system. I guess this may be causing a problem.
Anyway, thank you for your input and interest.
