Putting together a string of surveys for a client. The original job # begins with 1993 so the first survey was 27 years ago. He would like to confirm his acreage since each survey was done as a separate transaction over a number of years and they are distinct tracts, then he wants one overall drawing. So I imput the oldest tract and the acreage is shown as +- 280.166 Acres on the plat. There are some fence conflicts around the edges and they also show numbers like 3.929 Acres. At least it wasn't one of my projects...????.
This is topo heavy country, a large hill, down to a valley and back up another ridge, along a highway right of way with a number of curves and jogs, at least there aren't any spirals, very accurate survey,,,,,,,I guess.?ÿ
Maybe it was a new autocad version and those numbers slipped through the review process,,,,,,,,it's was too long ago to figure it out now.?ÿ
Sorry.?ÿ What is the issue??ÿ Tell me so I can do a head slap, too.
We were showing the area of the tract and the conflicts to 40 sq ft. Normally we would show the conflicts to the nearest .1 Acre and the tract to .01 acre. I'm not sure how it got through the review process but it's over the top for the size of these tracts.
A certain government agency we work with has been forced by another certain government agency to chase its tail around looking for 0.03 acres within an 84 acre development that was split up and subdivided over about 20 years. And no one knows where the original number even came from. It wasn't us. The original number shows up in some preliminary permit documentation.
Just do this:
