I got two calls today, 1 looking for some C&G and sidewalk layout and the other looking for some detailed topo.
Both callers sent me recent surveys and engineering plans from local firms. Now I'm a generally suspicious person when I get someone sending me very recent surveys from local surveyors so.......I called the surveyors and sure enough both of these guys owe the local surveyors a lot of money and they owe the engineering firm a shit load as well.
I immediately decided that both of those guys are on my "do no free work for these jackasses" list.
The best part was I got an incredibly appreciative and gracious email from one of the companies managers for the uncommon professional courtesy I showed them for my call alerting them to 1 of those guys shopping their work around. And sending out their copywrite protected plans to others without express permission.
I feel damed good alerting my peers and for also avoiding a bad screwing.?ÿ
