GLONASS data from CORS network

It appears that several of the receivers in the CORS network are capable of observing GLONASS satellites. However, when I download data from the CORS network (using UFCORS, within TBC), the data I get does not include GLONASS. Is this a general characteristic of data that is available from CORS, or am I doing something wrong?

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Al

If you download the undecimated full observation file from the FTP, you'll see a comment in the rinex header:

teqc edited: all GLONASS satellites excluded

I've seen this in several files before and I believe the way the NGS folks work, they have automated unix commands they run to QC and edit all files on a daily basis.. I'd assume this is one of them. I wouldn't be surprised if all files are like this.

It may be possible to request the unedited file from the CORS team, they're very helpful folks, but I've never done it.

Good luck.

Thanks for the help. I see what you mean about the note "all GLONASS satellites excluded" within the header of the RINEX file downloaded from the standard UFCORS system.

I found an FTP site maintained by NGS where you can download GPS+GLONASS data. I was able to successfully download data which included the GLONASS satellites into my Trimble Business Center software, and re-processed my baselines using the new data. It recognizes the new data, but the result was that the solution was degraded (less precise) than with GPS data only, at least with respect to the quality of the solution between my base (open sky) and the (correspondingly open) CORS site.

Good to know it can be done....might prove some utility in the future.
