Blocks 1, 2, 3, & 3?
Looks like not all of the lots were sold (a real garden spot)
Another view looks like one of Florida's not-too-well-known "Amusement World" tourist attractions. ?????ÿ
@flga-2-2 lemme guess: bithlo?
too bad circus world bit the dust- that was the only one with real rides.?ÿ and those old go kart tracks in kissimmee- those rednecks would wind those things up pretty good.
LOL, obviously you have "visited", or know of the Bithlo/Christmas area. Sooner than later there will be a "few" thousand+?ÿ homes in that area. ?????ÿ?ÿ
?ÿ
@flga-2-2 if you recall, i grew up in merritt island.?ÿ between the old steak and shake on colonial, eddie graham sportsplex, and the guy dad bought torque converters from, bithlo was on the way to 98% of everywhere i needed to go in orlando.?ÿ grew up going to every last kind of race at speedworld: figure 8s, demo derby, semi trucks, mud bogs, my brother did some drags there, only time i've ever ridden in a stock car was in bithlo.
used to take field trips to fort christmas in elementary school every december to get the whole postmark thing... first time i remember hearing john anderson sing about charlotte was on the bus ride back from christmas.
and, frankly, i think if anywhere is impervious to gentrification it'd be bithlo.?ÿ even the name can't be unfurked.?ÿ like it's destined to be junkyards and boiled peanuts for time immemorial.
eddie graham sportsplex
I lived in Daytona, but drove to that dump quite a few times, you could buy a 16oz beer for $1 and they never asked for an ID. ?????ÿ
Mosquito lagoon and the Banana River estuary are practically dead...
Just rode through there last week. Not too far out of Kingman, so not quite the middle of nowhere that the pictures would have you think.
Because nothing says Christmas more than NW Arizona.
