The survey crew forgot to use a geoid model when setting up the job in the TSC3 DC. The job is finished and we now discover the problem. The job spans about 1/2 mile by 1/2 mile, and varies in elevation of about a max of 40'.
Can I supply a single elevation correction, across the board for all of the points?
Can't you just add the geoid file in after the fact and let it recomputed all the heights?
I don't know what kind of software or how your drawings are set up or anything.....
You should be able to bring the job into TBC and edit the coordinate system to attach a geoid model. Recompute the project (F4) and you should have ortho and ellipsoid values.
(Dan posted while I was writing!)
Open the properties of the project in the DC then check Use Geoid box and re-export your data. The Geoid will then be applied.
It's going to take some backing up and a little work, but I just applied the geoid in the TSC3. Thanks to all for your help.
Several good suggestions, but M. McBride had the easiest solution. Thanks! I still have a day of un-drafting this mistake, but all in all, a good reminder to check, check and then check again.
