For the first time, in all my years of surveying, I have been requested to send the original photos to a homeowner, so that they can get them printed at the drug store, and deliver them to the insurance company, at the insurance company's request.
They were told, by the insurance company, that they cannot complete the request for insurance, until they have these pictures.
I have never heard of such a thing and I find myself annoyed.
I take the time to print the pictures on a glossy paper so that the pictures are more legible as it is, this just seems to be a ridicules request.
Sounds silly to me
I would think that a digital copy of the photos would be better than a hard copy. If they want a copy they can print as many as they want and digital copy can be stored with their other files.

I recall being embarrassed by my ignorance a few months into my first job after college when I intended to use the term bona fide in a sentence of a letter I was composing. I could not find it in the dictionary as bonified. I asked around for help. About the third person I asked actually knew how to spell it correctly and laughed her fool head off at my incorrect attempt.
Is this from an older FEMA Elevation Cert form that did not require pictures, or the current form that requires pictures?
If you attached the pictures to the form, I would tell them sorry I dont keep the pictures. The Insurance agent can go to your house and take all the pictures he needs.
Maybe even tell them you have never heard of this before, and I dont think this agent knows what he is doing, if your house does flood,I hope he can handle the flood claim.
We have agents calling us mad at times say we didnt give them enough flood vents for the size of the house. I just say all I do is show the elevations of the floors, ground grades, lowest machinery. The square footage of the house how many flood vents and square footage of the vents. I didnt remove any vents that is what was there at the time I was there.
