  • How to obtain an operation manual? Specifications? Any Sokkia Dealer can get you this manual. The model number tells you the angular accuracy.
  • How can display contrast be adjusted? In the settings/config there should be a contrast setting for the display.
  • Does instrument have any on-board software? It comes with basic software for data collection- set out and a few other normal functions like missing line- resection etc.
  • Is a Data Collector required for software and observation data recording? No this instrument will hold something like 10 jobs and a 1000 shots per job- if I remember correctly.
  • Is an SD card required for recording observation data? No it does not accept a card at all.
  • Batteries appear to be CamCorder style. Are they? Need to be more specific.
  • How to turn it off?
Pressing the ON and Display Illumination buttons simultaneously turns it
off but, a few seconds later the instrument turns ON by itself. What is
going on? I don't know - I would have to see it.
  • Comments, likes, dislikes, quirks and peculiar actions? It's an older instrument that is a strong performer- nothing quirky about it. I would need to know the exact model to be able to give you more info.
