I recently purchased a four pack of "TILES".?ÿ For those not familiar, they are a tracking device https://www.thetileapp.com/en-us/

I have attached them inconspicuously to my Focus 30 and two Epoch 50 GPS units for tracking their location when being used by the?ÿthe crew.?ÿ But more particularly in the event the equipment is stolen.?ÿ I am interested if anyone else has tried TILE and what you think of it.?ÿ Being a Bluetooth wireless device I recognize the need for a smartphone with the App to be in the vicinity to pick up its signal and broadcast its location back to the registered owner.

Please keep us updated on your experience with the devices.

I've been wondering their actual use and limitations before investing for use in remote areas.

Our Sokkia instruments have TSShield. Every time they are turned on they ping a their location so I can see prom my office where they are on a map with lat/long, what tike they turned on, I can even lock the instrument so if stolen it's disabled. If it's turned on by the thief's we will know where it is. It's a pretty neat system.

Will do A Harris.?ÿ I live and work in the Los Angeles urban area, so I am able to rely on a more robust user base to send the location signal through.
