There is a project under construction in my hometown of Union City, TN called Discovery Park of America. This is a 100 million dollar project and is really something for a town of 12,000 people. Their website is discoveryparkofamerica.com

We have done most of the staking on this project and it is an unusual and interesting project. Yesterday we were called to measure for a ceiling between 2 interior soffit walls hanging from the roof structure. The ceiling goes between the 2 walls, both walls are curved with different radii, and are about 127' long. We set up the Leica robot, used the reflectorless, and turned the laser pointer on. Took about 70 shots and plotted on the computer. It worked great. We even located the sprinkler nozzles for them. As I said, this has been an interesting project.

I’ll say, that’s one of those projects you can’t wait to arrive on site. I like the site plan, especially the unpaved spill parking areas. On the todo list when SWMBO gets her new car and we go road tripping!

Have a great weekend! B-)

Bob,

I saw that project a few months ago while working in Union City. I am glad you are getting some work out of it.

I'll be back up there later this week. I'll have to drive by there and check it out.

Take care, hope to run into you soon.

Your friend,
Jimmy
