data collector won't talk to PC

I have windows 7 enterprise with 32 bit on the PC and the data collector is a JETT XL with SMI version 8.. I can't get the data collector to talk to the PC. I did load the windows Mobile Device to the PC with no luck please help.

Do you have SMI transfer?

I run SMI on a HP48 and have to have SMI transfer to make it talk using windows 8 64 bit.

Which version of SMI Transfer are you trying to load?

Does your data collector run on Windows mobile? I run Carlson, and my method of download is to exit out of CE to Windows. Use the windows mobile app instead of trying to use the SMI program... Also, does your PC and data collector have Bluetooth?

Try on the data collector on the windows screen. Go to setting, then Connection tab, then click on USB to PC, then check or uncheck the box to enable advanced network functionality.
