Cuivre River Survey - another day at the office

Yesterday I was able to get out from behind the desk and enjoy some fresh air. There were 4 of us and we were able to survey 7000 LF of the Cuivre River here in Missouri in one day. We had a combination of tools....Trimble VX robot, Javad-LS, eBee RTK fixed wing drone and a wakeboard. Turned out to be a pretty cool day at the office, well actually it was 97 degrees so it wasn't that cool.

Here you can see the two that did the below water shots and bank details. I was very surprised at how fast the wakeboard was in moving around. It was much faster and easier than a canoe or kayak.

And here is your's truly sending the drone off for a flight. This little baby flew the entire corridor totally 75 acres in under 3 hours, with 80% overlap and two crash takeoffs.

That wakeboard looks more like a paddle board to me, but I can't see it clearly in the photo.

How hard is it to chew up body parts when launching the eBee??ÿ It looks a little dicey.

You're right it is a paddle board, it's bout 8 foot long. I chose the wrong word.

It could do some damage I would suspect. The little propeller really gets going.
