I would like to raise the subject of measurements of crane rails. Common in our profession and often performed however, cranes and their location is not the same and one method is not always used to maintain safety and accuracy of measurement.
So share your experience, professional tips and methods, and the equipment you measure.
Do you use a total station with miniprism, rail clamps, inch-rulers, a laser scanner or maybe a robot like RailQ?
