Thanks for the instruction. The information is great and watching professionals attack and solve a problem is priceless. NADCON 4.2 can be downloaded and it is really slick. Very nice user interface.
Is NADCON 5 available yet?
I downloaded the NADCON program from the link at the bottom of the page here:
http://www.ngs.noaa.gov/TOOLS/Nadcon/Nadcon.shtml
The drop-down boxes on the input screen list USSD and a host of other choices.
You should check out the Survey page of the MassDOT website. There are "interactive" maps for town corners, geodetic control, and state highway layouts. The town corners coordinates are converted from NESD/USSD to NAD 27 and NAD 83 (not sure if it is a conversion from a conversion or USSD to NAD 83) reported to nearest meter. The site states accuracy to 6 feet, obviously the monuments would hold in an actual survey. I wouldn't recommend using them for anything other than an approximation.

Thanks. Yes, I'm familiar with the MassDOT website, and I agree it provides a great resource.
Big Al,
Have you tried the NCAT converter yet on the NGS website. {NGS Coordinate Conversion and Transformation Tool}
https://www.ngs.noaa.gov/NCAT/
I'm looking forward to staking out to the coordinates I computed using this to see how close they are to the actual location of the monuments. I'm using the CORS network on Mass Mainland NAD83. I'll let you know how it works.
Thanks,
Jack
