What kind of setups are out there for carrying prism poles (i.e. long items) on ATV's??

I have a little spot, on the right side, that allows the ends to ride on racks, and they get a bungie.
Mount and dismount ONLY on one side.

Always found ATV's a pain, tie on, unload, reload and tie down. Bought a side by side with a box, much better.

These little mounts work very well. They usually can be pick uped at most ATV stores.

I use the atv gun racks from Cabelas.

They work great!

must be carried safely--that horizontal mount would not pass osha if it extends beyong the edges of the atv-- they're as dangerous as range poles and machettes on the top shelf in the back of a survey truck--pull my finger/hold my beer...tdd

Yeah, we take it off if it's in the truck. I like it pointed that direction when I'm riding the 4-wheeler.

I use some gun mounts I bought from Tractor Supply. I currently have them mounted like Mighty Moe does. I used to have them mounted with one on the rear rack, and one on the front rack. It interferred with the steering somewhat, so I changed it to the current configuration.

Ted is right, the poles are wider than the atv, and it is tough in the woods sometimes.

the worst thing for me is driving along a fence line. You really have to pay attention.

I have gun racks on the front bumper, two on the back rack and one on each side and a lath tube, and sometimes a couple of milk cartons for hand tools, instrumet case, etc.
