Back in my boundary surveying days...I always wanted to get a fence jumping mule to carry me and equipment around. Thought about a motorcycle, but we encountered so many barbed wire fences couldn't justify the dirt?ÿbike.
Mules can jump a 5ft fence from a standstill, unlike horses that need a running start.
Question is...where do you keep a fence jumping mule?

Really, just where do you keep him?
I have mule that could make those jumps easily with someone on her back.?ÿ I know this because the last time I came off of her unwillingly, she was at least six feet higher than normal, putting me about 11 feet in the air upside down.?ÿ Landed on my face and my right eyeball was laying on my cheek.?ÿ She only stays where she wants to stay
When we first started seeing COORS GPS that worked well, I had visions of enjoyable days of Mortgage Surveys - Seco makes a prism pole in 1' sections, I could easily get a receiver, tape, pole and notebook in the saddlebags of my ElectraGlide.?ÿ Metal detector was the only unweildable piece of equipment . . .?ÿ
Of course, that was just before lending institutions decided they don't NEED Mortgage Surveys anymore . . .?ÿ

Bison/Buffalo can do this as well, but are just as likely to just trample an ordinary barbed wire enclosure that would "turn" cattle.?ÿ Hence the tall welded pipe fences that enclose some fields in OK.
