Carlson Surveyor+ Blue Tooth Range

Anybody know what the range is on the internal Bluetooth units on the Carlson Surveyor+ collectors? The Juniper Systems website says the TK6000 units have Class 1 Blue tooth up to 75 meters/250 feet, but I heard that Carlson may have boosted this range somewhat. I'm probably wrong about that.

My Bantam units are starting to fail. They have been good units, no complaints, but it's time to look for other options. I may wind up getting two Parani 1000 units, but if the internal Carlson range is long enough, then it would be great to get by on just one Parani at the instrument. I'm running an older Topcon 8005 robot, so I'm looking for ideas.

Anybody have any other options?

Thanks for any help in advance.

I have gotten 900+ feet in ideal conditions out of the internal BT, but typical is more around 600 feet. We do have a long range dongle, which I have never seen the use for, but this was suppose to extend the range even longer...

Love my Surveyor+'s!

5-600 feet with a parani at the instrument. Pretty nice not keeping up with the Bluetooth on the pole. I do find at times that I have to reboot the Surveyor because it loses the connection to the Parani and can't reestablish. Other than that, it's pretty slick.

Strizzy, can you tell me about the long range dongle? Is it the same as the longer antenna?

Thanks,
Dale

Just pulled it out of the case, haven't looked at this thing since the day we got our one robot.

It is a Parani SD1000U http://www.senaindustrial.com/products/industrial_bluetooth/sd1000u.php
