I created a new code table from scratch. With my old code table (.fld), if a new description was used, the points and linework would default to the MISC layer. With my new one, they default to whatever current layer I'm on.
I'm thinking that I must have set that up somehow, to go to MISC, but I can't seem to figure out where it is.
(meant to put this in the software forum - hope it doesn't offend anyone here)
