I have a Geodimeter 640 robot (similar to a Trimble 5601) that I'm planning to sell. I've been running it with a DC50, which I want to keep because I use it with another instrument. However, I also have a TSC1 with SC7.62 (I think) that's just gathering dust. I'm wondering if it's possible to run the robot with the TSC1. I haven't tried this yet, and I'm wondering if anyone has successfully done this, and if so how they hooked it up.

Thanks.

I messed with that setup but never followed all the way through. Had trouble getting it to run in robotic (radio settings I think) but I think it will work if you get everything set right. I have a cord that I had specially made (TSC1/Geodemeter/battery). Cost me $300 but I'd take less and let you try it out. If it works for you then you could pay me what ever its worth to ya.

I need a total station but 640 bigger than I want to pack around. Need a light weight mountain TS.

Replace Asset Surveyor for Survey Controller software onTSC1

Hi Jim, I've been reading your postings on GPS and I feel more educated. However,I need to get more experience on RTK. I've followed your advise. I got two 4000sse receivers to make a RTK setup. Recently, I bought a TSC1 with the Asset surveyor software. Does anyone know how to change it to Survey Controller? Is that expensive?
Thank you.

My understanding -- which is pretty sketchy when it comes to the TSC1 -- is that the software is locked to the hardware's digital serial number. Since the TSC1 is long past end-of-life, I think Trimble is unlikely to authorize a transfer of SC to your unit, though it might be worth checking with your dealer.

TSC1s with SC show up on eBay with some regularity, so buying one with SC already installed would probably be the path of least resistance.

Good luck with the project!

Yes, me too. I have a TSC1 with 7.72 and a Geodimeter Pro600. Wanting to use them together.Rumor says yes, they are compatible and Geo is an option on the TSC. If yours did work please inform me of the cables needed and if you think its worth the hassle. Thanks
