Recently I was discussing units of measure and someone mentioned that Brooklyn (New York City) has its own foot measurement.  Has anyone else heard of this and if so what is the conversion to the US Survey Foot and meter?

Philadelphia has what they call Philadelphia District Standard - while it says standard it doesn't guarantee it...
The surplus measure, known as Philadelphia district measure, is generally an additional 3 inches for every 100 feet. In reality, the Philadelphia district standard measure is what the local district surveyor and regulator finds the same to be in his regulation of party lines and property lines in each block. 1.0025 PDS = 1 ft

@svengayle

Thanks for the Philly foot reference, I am painfully aware of their "standard" measure which isn't.
