We received our new GEDO CE trolley and are putting it to use. It isn't any different than our other one, just shinier. Trying to get or design work done before the construction season.

How much length of track do you cover for each instrument setup? ie/ how far apart are your control points?

Looks like a TX8 on the Gedo. Are you positioning it using the MT1000 on the cart?

@norman-oklahoma

We typically set control every 600' or so.  So, we get roughly 1200' to 1400' per instrument set up.  You can also use GNSS with the system.  We've done miles at a time that way, but only for horizontal location, the vertical component is not to the accuracy we desire.

Yes, there is a robot tracking the MT1000. The data collector is running two pieces of software, one for the scanner and one for the robot/prism. Synchronization points are stored in both pieces of software. The synchronization points are used to georeference and fit the scan to those points.
