Been out of town in no cell zone sorry this is my first post on the new rpls. Yes I do some of the drafting well learning. I usual do all the qa / qc rough linework make notes etc then pass off the final drafting for paper to someone else. But we have been understaffed with 2 guys out for surgery and the work keeps coming. All I know is the mountains about killed me LOL. 100 degrees my helper was older than i am and he works hard but never surveyed. So traversing setting up on slopes I did a lot of walking back and forth to set up BS FS and Instrument etc. But we got the project done and its all done except me going back and setting the pins. It truly boiled down to a mess. We ended up holding distances on the old plat and had it in the background of all our evidence. I probably drove my boss nuts as i labeled everything I found on the rough drafting and what my gut said and owners stated as he made the final decisions. But all the stumps trees ditches and such worked within reason for sure that I located with the old plat distances held not bearings with adjoiners and such. We will see if it needs further info as its being reviewed by client now. Got off that mountain and headed to another one. I am trying to play catch up now with several projects that need control adjusted and qa/qc done so I have been burning the midnight oil. This is my first week back in the office since that other mess started and this site went live. So I am trying to find my way around. LOL.. Thanks to everyone who helped for sure..
Triangle parcels are commonly the end parcel of a block. As such, they are where all the error got thrown. The thing to do is to develop the lines of the block and let the apex fall where it will
I was wondering if the mountains swallowed you!
I will not lie. I was feeling it for a while. I don't seem to recover as quickly as I use to and I am not in the field everyday so I have become fat and lazy and out of shape for that work and especially the mountains LOL..
Yeah we sorta did that. My boss was scratching his head on this one for sure. I was upset because between time and evidence and not getting all the research ahead of time I was wanting to set the corners before I left so no return trip. But it was just to much unknowns. The boss was happy with all my gut feelings and evidence which was a lot of things that helped him wiggle it in and such. This tenth by a tenth minors bolt saved us on the placement of the overall subdivision plat. About 2500 ft from our tract but it and a tree was about the only stuff that fit. Our tract was 220 x 220 x 70 ish rough. Not one lot closed by better than 4 ft and most were pushing 10 ft. DEEDS PLATS etc. We are still waiting on if the deed discrepancies of 2 owners being deeded a particular lot at same exact time but other than that we got er done.
