I recently bought two of the Parani SD1000 bluetooth adapters, based upon recommendations from guys here. They work great. Thanks for all the advice. I sure do not miss toting around the satel radios at all.

My buddy recently experienced his Nomad crashing on him, and had to resort to using his backup Ranger 200T. His radios are the bantam bluetooth radios from Hayes. He just looked, and the units inside of the case are the Parani 10 units. Will the SD1000 units pair up with these units that he already has?

He just needs one unit to convert his 200T to bluetooth, to communicate with the existing radios he has.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jimmy

Long story short yes . You can pair the paranis with any blue tooth device . Most parani units I seen have a reset hole for a paper clip and there is a procedure that you hold the paper clip in the hole of each unit and it tells the units to pair up . Also there should be some communication softwaare that came with the Paranis units and you can set up partnership on the computer with a usb cable serial adapter to other parani devices.

One thing Need to look for is that there are some dip switches on the units that set the baud rates , they would have to be set the same on the units.

A little research and he should be good to go.
