That sounds like the initial attempt to brush you away response.
Mr. New Mexico, no you don't understand, you guys did this, dig up and hand over the records.?ÿ I do not think BLM files their Surveys with the Texas Land Commission or do they?
You need to talk to BLM Cadastal. Mike Purtee is the current chief cadastral surveyor. They have what you need.?ÿ?ÿ
?ÿ
No BLM surveys are not filed with the Texas Land Commission.?ÿ
that was the office tech standard response, receptionist level person.
Ring ring, Surveyor: hello Texas LC I need some BLM Field Notes
Texas:?ÿ
Surveyor:
Texas: uh we don't understand your request???
The Texas GLO might have a copy of the survey but it is not available on their website. They are also shutdown for Covid-19 and I can only get copies once a week when one of their loyal employees sneaks into the office to get stuff done. I would think that the BLM would have a copy of their work, I just got a reply from a hardworking employee who has not had to deal with a novel request for information.
My reply to the previous BLM email was basically, "it's a BLM survey, I pulled the plat from your website" (and I sent them a copy of the plat). They replied that they are working with one of their Public Contact Representatives to research this.
Thanks again for all the contact information from everyone.
