Hello. I use a trimble geo7x and attempt to use real time corrections in the field using a verizon hotspot to connect with over wifi for corrections. When I have a good amount of satelites (15 or so), my post processed will drop to about 3 inches but real time accuracy remains low, at around 5-6 feet. Is the real time differential correction doing anything? if so, how does it work if the hotspot isnt in a known point? and FYI it is connected and shows it is connect on both the gps and the hotspot screen. Thanks!?ÿ

You have to be connecting to a base station broadcasting over the internet to get corrections.?ÿ You aren't getting corrections for your position so it is a float or anonymous position.
