A simple short pole that a quick release female connector can be attached to that allows you to move from the mount to the rod with a click.?ÿ

place it where you can watch the screen and it doesn't interfere with the handlebars.

It needs to be longer than the DC.?ÿ

Mine's welded to an angle iron rectangle that holds a soft tool box.?ÿ

10.4 thanks, & here is your photo from the other thread...

Is that short pole welded/mounted such that it (& the DC) turn when the steering handle bars turn?

Or does it remain stationary, independent of the steering?

No the DC mount isn't attached in any way to the steering, it's attatched to the mount that holds the soft box, that mount is a welded platform shaped like the box kinda a rectangle with bump outs for the bags in front. I want freedom of movement for the handlebars.?ÿ

In this picture you can see it welded to the box frame, that frame is attached to the front tubing.?ÿ

The GPS mount is welded to the outside of the frame over the left wheel.?ÿ

I didn't do any of the fabrication, we have a client that traded work with us.?ÿ

Thanks man. ?ÿI have a similar pole mount. ?ÿI used to just leave the DC attached to the pole but the bouncing eventually broke the bracket. ?ÿI am not sure that the solution I am pursuing will be any better regarding vibrations.

I am looking at this assembly option:
