There is a man by the name of Al Lang, a retired forester, who can examine old stumps and tell when they were cut within a few years. The Washington State Court of Appeals agrees that he can. His talent was used to good effect in a recent AP case. Seems to me that such a man could make a presentation that would be interesting to surveyors at the next conference.
I'm not on the committee but if Jerad McGrath doesn't cime in I'll make sure he sees this.
Thanks Norman. All suggestions are welcome. Sometimes the committee even takes one of my suggestions.
We had a dendrochronologist speak at our local chapter meeting a few years back.
It was a very informative talk on what he does and how it helped one of our members in a court case, prove the stump he found was a BT.
It was an hour or so and covered pretty much everything. I'm sure he could've stretched into a half day but that would be about it.

More than an hour or so and you've lost me anyway.

Thanks Mark, I will have to look him up.
