I haven't had trouble with Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) and my mini 2 (Carlson badged) on Win 7. Just very, very slow to 'boot'. Once it's up, it works fine.

Note, I have to use the usb cable that came with the mini2. Apparently, I've got several generic cables laying around that aren't supported by windows anymore. If I pick one of them up, no connection is made no matter how long I wait.

Funny note on timing. I just added Bluetooth to my desktop on Friday so I wouldn't have to deal with cables and the slow boot, anymore. What I don't like about this connection, it's not a windows explorer interface. Hooks right up but, drops files in a prescribed folders that I can't seem to change. That's regardless of mini 2> desktop OR desktop> mini 2.

The FTP option you posted is interesting because it is based on folders/ windows explorer. you can choose where you want the files to land. Thanks for that.
