I've got a pair of Motorola radios.?ÿ They work great, but are yet another device to keep charged, carry around, and get tangled up in vegetation.?ÿ Has anyone found a good alternative??ÿ
- Cell service keeps getting better and better, to the point that I am rarely on a site where I don't have it.?ÿ
- I almost always carry my phone (iOS 12) in my pocket, and it is enabled with bluetooth.
- Bluetooth headsets are becoming the norm - lightweight, inexpensive
I'd like to keep the phone in my pocket and simply push a button on my headset to talk to my other field crew member when necessary.?ÿ Briefly considered whether Apple's new "Shortcuts" feature could be used for this, but couldn't figure it out.?ÿ I've looked at several iOS apps - Zello, Voxer, etc. and they come close, but haven't figured that out yet either.
Anyone happily doing this already??ÿ If so, please provide details on what equipment you're using.
