I have a Geodimeter 600 (one of the originals) with the Geo600 radio (the model with the red light). I think one of my antennas is going bad, and I'm not sure which one to buy. Is this the right antenna? It looks right, but I have no idea of the mhz of the Geo600 radio.

Not a lot of information on this webpage:

http://www.martininstrument.com/antenex-450-470mhz-antenna

If someone has another link to a Geo600 radio antenna, please let me know. Thanks.

> A Trimble FAQ titled "Changes to FCC Part 90 Regulations," apparently issued in 2004, states that "[a]ll Trimble, Geodimeter, and Zeiss Robotic Total Stations operate in this [430-470] frequency band, and thus require a license. And there are 2 models of the Georadio: the original 430-470 MHz "red dot," which dates back to somewhere around 1994, and the 2.4 GHz "blue dot" that was released around 2004. The press release for the 2.4 GHz describes it as a spread-spectrum license-free solution that can be retrofitted to the older Geodimeter 600 / Trimble 5600.

Hmmm.... I found a post from Jim Frame that says the older Geo600 radios (red light) are 430-470 MHz, where as this replacement antenna says it's 450-470.

Would that work?

I don't have a definitive answer, but for $21.00 it's probably worth testing.

That is the right trimble part number, I have about 10 in stock. There is only one BNC antenna for the Geodimeter/ATS/5600 available anymore. There used to be a stubby, but I haven't seen one in years. The newer radio antennas have a TNC connector.

RE: Just found your post when I was searching for info on the Trimble Georadio 600 series (redlight model.) I can hopefully help you... I think you need the antenna model/part# R71 908 293. If you need help or want to purchase one, contact Jim Fujarski at email: servicedept@seilerinst.com
