Thanks, Daryl!

BTW, I noticed that your "Surveying" link near the top is dead. FYI.

This is one of my most favorite surveying threads ever!

Surveying has provided so much to to so many cool people, caused us to travel, made us think, connected us through math & science, sent us on endless adventures, challenged us physically, introduced us to thousands of interesting people, demanded our utmost integrity, connected us to history, and all while doing a public service and serving others......unbelievable! Imagine all the things we would have missed if we did not choose this profession.

Thank you surveying, you are one of the best things that ever happened to many of us!

I don't know where you are heading but I sure know where WE have been!!!!!!

I concur. I expected there would be some response, but I didn't expect the sheer number of photos that have been posted thus far. It has made me rethink the order of which I planned to implement new features -- I think the photo gallery option needs to be moved to the front burner!

And you didn't even get to see the many emails I received containing bazillions of photos... 😉

Sometimes "tiny" things can be great. 😉 😀

Howdy,

You should also check out the historic photos at this NOAA site: NOAA geodesy photo library. All images should be in the public domain.

Cheers,

DMM
