Now that my son has passed the Mechanical Engineering PE exam I have been gifted his HP 35. I got familiar with it last night and as long as they run I will continue using my HP 11s for routine work.

However the HP 35 has complex capabilities which I would like to explore. Because my HP 48 data collectors can do more than I need for work I have no incentive to create any programs from scratch as I did way back when I got my HP 41. Despite the 41 having a Survey module there were a few extras written by myself and others in the engineering/survey firm I worked in at the time that were useful. The HP 41 Survey module had the nicest vertical curve routine which I preferred over any other, calculator or computer.

Can old, old HP programs be keyed into the HP 35?

How about an HP 11s App?

anyone know of an 11s app for the Droid? Like Paul, I am still hanging on to my 11 for casual computations.

Hi Paul,

Try this link for the HP 35 programs offered by the Minnesota DOT.

ftp://ftp.olmweb.dot.state.mn.us/Software/HP35s_Programs.pdf

If that link doesn't work, try the following link and scroll down.

If I remember correctly, Jean Claude Meeus wrote a book on Astronomical Coordinate System Transformations that had HP-35 programs. It was a little red-cover hardback book published in the early 1980s.

I just looked it up:

Meeus, J. Astronomical Formulae for Calculators. Second Edition. Enlarged and Revised. 1982. 201 pgs.

Thanks to Vish, my student worker that cataloged my entire office library! I'll send a copy to anyone that wants it ...

Cliff, That Would Be For My OLD HP 35

When I use my classic HP 35 it is pretty much as a 4 banger.

My request is fof programs for my NEW HP 35.

I downloaded the Minn DOT programs.

hp 33s

My professors require the HP 33s. So far I find it fairly nice but I've only done slight work with it such as turning angles. Any comments?

Any Useful HP 35 Programs Out There (HP 35s ?)

I know that this is an older post, but in case someone is searching, perhaps I can clear up something...

The HP-35s was released circa 2007 and is a different calculator than the HP-35s.

I think he meant the HP-35s (the new model) is not the same as the old HP-35.

You Bet!

BTW the most robust programs out there for the 35s are the ones written by the late Ted Kerber
