Has anyone purchased a Topcon ES total station and any thoughts on the gun?
It's a Topcon.
I haven't but have been reading about the gun. Seems a nice one. I like the brochure part that says....
"TSshield™
The TSshield™ system provides notifications for software updates with messages directly on the total station when avaialble. TSshield™ is able to track the total station and provide its location if it is misplaced or stolen. The owner can even send a code to lock the instrument so that it can not be operated
We order one a month ago. Haven't got it yet because we had to have an optical plummet instead of a laser plummet. We do a lot of leap frogging with 3 tribracks.
I will post on it when we have time to check it out.

Looking at the information on the manufacturer's website, the TSshield system appears to be located in the removable handle.
Interesting to see that they are back to more reasonable ranges with the reflectorless technology; 500m.
