Once again I was back to Little Pleasant Bay for some static collection. This time I brought Banjo the Survey dog.
As a Spanish Water Dog he does feel this draw to the water. He just can't help himself, but to go and stand or lie down I was setting the 2nd receiver up on the beach and I turned around and saw this:
But, He's a good worker. Here he is inspecting the setup:
Here's the dog with a local critter, a prehistoric Horseshoe crab!
This is a nice shot of both units.... (note that the solution was awesome, even without waiting 24 hours for orbits to be computed) Look to the center right for the beach unit.
Of course, before we left Banjo needed another dip.
This time he decided to lay down...
This little note works for me, but I only use it at places like this. SWMBO can sit and knit and guard in busier places.....
Enough for now, back to the drawing board...

Dogs are funny things with water. We've had some who would not go near the water, we had one that would not go near the pool but loved to splash through puddles after a rain, and we had one who literally lived in the pool. Day and night, freezing or hot, you would find Spot sitting on the top step of the pool up to her neck in the water.
Nice photos of the survey site and shore.
I would bet that water is still pretty cold........
Very nice scenery,
no idea what the temps are at your side,
over here it's still freezing cold!
I think banjo likes the survey jobs as much as his boss does!
Thanks for sharing,
Christof.
Again with the beautiul views (includes Dog)>Christof
Temps are hovering around the 40's F, the water temp was probably about the same. Banjo likes to be included. And I like the company when I'm just waiting on static collection. The water is to cold for me, I prefer to wait until it's at least 60 F.....Still below freezing at night, but spring is trying to break open.
Here's a kick in the pants........... Setting up my repeater on 7' of sea ice 2 days ago...... I think i'ld be swimming with Banjo if I was there......:-) B-)

Not to be outdone. Static session in Haiti.

You rock if you are in Haiti, no question.
Brutal, have done the same.
Given the choice, would MUCH prefer tropical climates. Good supply chain for resources, no restrictions, no Big Brother hoops to jump through.
